Nothing wrong with manual steering, takes a little while to get used to it, but once you are you won't notice the difference as it just comes naturally.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Hi and welcome

Nice car - great bargain too - how did you find one at that price? !!
I've always found 2nd hand cars expensive in France
Obviously I haven't been looking in the right places

Whereabouts in France are you?

I'm in sunny Nice, southeast France
That GTI was dirt cheap as it has some work to be done on it (exhaust blows, rear discs are warped and it failed emissions testing) and it has 210,000 km on the clock
I want to make it a stealth sleeper, i.e remove all visible GTI telltale signs and put in a CAI, a header, upgrade piping and do some major weight redux. I aim for 160/165hp and sub-900 kg weight then things could get interesting
