Good deal?

I don't know if this is considered one of those "what is its worth" threads, but I digress, I found a VW gti for 515 EUR. The 8v is defective with some kind of bad sensor and there is a 16v that comes with it. The body is in fair condition with no rust. Am I getting ripped off or should is this a good deal?

I think he means he's getting a 16v lump with the 8v car. I'd say it was worth the money really, the cost of a 16v lump alone is between £100 - £300 so I think that is a good deal, but as your location is "The United States" I'd say the import duties would be pretty hefty. (I'm presuming it's a European car you're buying from the EU somewhere as you stated the cost in € euros.)

It does sound like a good deal, how much is it going to cost to import?
My brother in law works for the USAF and got his Mustang brought over for free  and getting it back over there in August when they move out there... again for free

Its issued by the bank of England not the bank of Britain hence English pounds
