R32/ed30 REAR LIGHTS

If they are the same lights why would the R32 need reflectors and not the GTI/ED30???

I've just ordered them as well from a VW dealer nearby, we bought them as a group and were able to negotiate a price of 200 EUR.
There's also a dealer on german eBay which sells the for about 200 EUR incl P&P as well.

Erm... ED30/R32 have the same rear light cluster
Only R32 rear valance has the reflector slots - last time i checked

Yeh I get that  But why does the R32 need reflectors if they are the same units??

No idea why the R32 rear apron needs reflectors, have a set of the lights ready to go on

....I don't know for certain but I think the R32 spoiler has reflectors due to laws in other countries, especially the U S of A. Earlier production ones didn't have them in the UK.

I thought I wouldn't like the reflectors at all but they look much better in real-life. Though I think that they probably look better on my red car because they don't visually stand out so much.

right, on order from fischermotorsport,

ive got the same R32 rear as you robin (not yet installed) and am having the reflectors smoothed and painted over in black  so it matches the body like yours
