Just been to my dealer in Bristol, Heritage and there is a brand new red 3dr (i think) edition 30 sitting in the showroom.  Don't know the price but looked very nice...

This fits the bill but the mileage is too high, it's more than twice my yearly average.

There are also a couple on Pistonheads that are ideal, but have been sold and the add not removed.

Yep, seen that Cass, white is the only other colour I would consider but still takes second place to red. Some nice options on that hence the price, which is quite a lot more than I want to pay. If i was gonna pay that much, I would also be considering a new Scirocco (pity it's not as good looking as a Golf).

Red Ed30 is the daddy!!  , you have good taste, looks better in the flesh, it looks totally different then tornado red, more like Cherry Red.
