You still having problems with an air leak somewhere I guess ?

There's no real specific symptoms that would suggest an inlet gasket failure alone - it's cheap and easy to change, so just do it to rule it out.

Did you consider the carb service kit I suggested too - ideal time to do them both i'd say

cheers david yeah still having problems, major idle control problems, one second 1250 rpm next 200rpm its driving me mad, i dont think the carb will need servicing as its only 6 months old, garag is gonna cost me 50 quid to do the change is this a good price??
