After spending a not inconsiderably sized sum, and a lot of time, on coilovers, laser alignment, new steering wheel, new lights, rebuilding the chin spoiler painting the eyebrow, etc, etc. This month has been a bit of a birthday bash for the cab.
But, there I was thinking how nice she is starting to look for the summer, when I spot a rather large pool of water forming under the engine!! The immediate panic of even more excessive amounts of my "hard earned" cash flying out the window, was soon quelled when a closer inspection showed the flange for the coolant pipe on the side of the block was doing its best impression of a broken fire hydrant, and squirting the contents of my coolant reservoir everywhere.
One quick trip to the local VW dealer, and ?5.30, and a few cut knuckles later, the little cab is looking cool, and feeling cooler - and probably dreaming up some other way to strip me of few more quid!
