plus you would then end up with screw hole where the old number plate was unless you are going to replace it with more carbon fibre.

That would be the general idea. I'd been thinking OSIR black carbon fibre front.

....Wouldn't the mix between silver and black carbonfibre look a bit odd? - I might be wrong and it look better in reality.

I don't think it would be noticeable having black CF at the front and silver on the bonnet. If I had silver for the front, then you would definitely notice it as it wouldn't look like a GTI anymore :undecided:

Or maybe its time to create discrete plate flipper that flips out during normal running but hides away behind an OE looking flap when reqd

....Now I have thought about it more, I think you are absolutely right, Hurdy.

What will you do about the stock chrome VW badge? Keep it, or black CF?

Undecided at the moment. I quite like the standard chrome VW badge, but if anyone knew of a silver CF one then that would be tooooo much to resist

....Quick, lads!! Does anyone have any of that silver fablon fake carbonfibre!?

Hurdy, if you found or got a silver CF one it would probably be totally and literally unique!! Your only chance I reckon is if Riso decides to make one and he hasn't even done a black one so far.
