Headlights
« on: 27 April 2008, 11:45 »
Hey guys, I was wondering the other day, Im used to my polo and when I'm driving about in that I can just flick the full beam stalk to flash other drivers thank yous or whatever, only, with the golf it doesn't do anything unless the lights are on, just wondering if thats normal or if I may have a fault in my wiring somewhere. . . or do you lot just flick your light switch?

Nope.  My lights flash when the stalk is pulled.

It could be an issue in the stalk itself. Probably a pretty pricey part just to try out though. Consider swapping stalks with a mate to see if that does anything for you.

Tbh, some times you have to do a bit more than a "flick" to get it too flash

I dont, its a positive movement and works everytime for me.

Possible that some people have used it more than others and maybe some peoples stalks are more worn than others
