New Xenon bulbs - Are green legal?
« on: 24 April 2008, 22:49 »
I got some new bulbs today which make the headlights brighter which I like, and they came with 2 blue sidelight bulbs, and it does look cool, but my car is green.

So question is, can I buy these:

They would be my sidelights then, and green to match the car. Is it legal to have green sidelights?

White is the only colour you can leagaly use for the headlight/sidelight bulbs.

The ones I've got atm have a blue tint to them so they look blue but still are white if that makes sense? Don't think I'll get pulled for them but would prefer the ones like I have now, but with a green tint instead to match the car...

...should I just do it anyway? lol! The police wouldn't fine me if I changed them there and then would they?

I think this is a sticky situation.

its the transition between lookin good and looking chavish, very fine line!

i always seen fiesta's and astra flying past with blue sidelights.

if in doubt go white! :D

mite av to just try em n see what they look like, as for police, they prob would pull you im just sure they hate golfs! lol

I know what you mean, but all the lights I've seen chavs use are really bright or they are LEDs next to or within the light, doesn't tend to be the bulb itself which is different. I'll get these green ones and see, only a couple of quid so not all bad lol!

Boney - What's the difference with the ones you have as your sidelights then? What makes them better?
