Missing Xenons - Upgraded my lights
« on: 24 April 2008, 21:41 »
Well after having Xenons on the last GTi one thing i wanted to do was upgrade my
standard lights,

I didnt want something that just looked Blue/whiter as you see in the Corsa at Mcdonalds etc,

Ordered some Osram Nightbreakers which have the best reviews, yet to try them on the road
but they look like going to be a worth while upgrade,

Got them from http://www.powerbulbs.com with free Philips sidelight bulbs £22 Delivered.

Left Light upgraded - Right Standard

Worth while upgrade for the people without Xenons,

Rob

Much better looking light. Makes the standard bulb look very yellow.

They look good for H7 bulbs.

I have tried the Philips Xtreme H7's before which were much better then normal bulbs - in fact I still have them if anyone wants a cheap set - £10 ?

I had them on the Mk4 before going for the next step and fitting HID's

I've Just put some H7 RING SPORTZ BLUE XENON HEADLIGHT BULBS in mine.

They're a nice chrisp white light, unlike the OEM Yellowish bulbs.

Haven't tried them out on the road in the dark yet. If they good then I'll get some for my high beam and fogs next month.

Got them for a good price off eBay.... only £16.49 delivered next working day.

Martin, have you got a link to the exact bulbs you bought off eBay?? They look pretty good from your photo.

Thanks.  :smiley:

the nightbreakers show as £25.95, and even with 10% off (only code I found) they are £23.summat, is that right? I thought you said £22 paid.

There's a 10% discount at the following -

Powerbulbs
Code = AYSCX1729

Autobulbs Direct
Code = golfgti

The Osram nightbreakers are £19.46 without the discount  :cool:

I upgraded mine when I got the headlight units and they are much better than standard :cool:

It is probably one of the best, cheap safety mods you can do IMO.
