Suspension kit advice

I have a 8v 2.0 gti, done low miles but undamped and sitting too high, looking to put a full suspension kit on it I have a budget of around £250 or less, what kit have people used or can recommend please.

At the moment people seem to be raving about these coilovers from a company called Hottuning that operate mainly on ebay. They are around £200 and are height adjustable and set to 30% uprated in terms of dampning.

them hottuning ones are £150 from the group buy on mk2 owners club...check monzablue's profile for the link  :wink:

Seems a good price, does anyone know how bad the ride would be on them.

everybody who has these say there fairly firm but make the car grip well....i cant see them being much harder than any cheap spring shock kit...

i would start trying to get your front strut nut off now!!! ive had mine nearly a week and still don't have the front one's on!!!!

You need to get it down to your local garage and get them to airgun it off and then put it back on it's the only way you'll be able to do it. it only takes two minutes then you can take it back home and they come off easy as you like!

if you offer £160 for the hottuning ones you should get them, thats what i paid for the VR's ones
