Hi mate,

I came on here ages ago asking about a quote on my MK1 GTi but I've been so busy the project slowed down somewhat. But now it's almost ready...

I'm 21, been driving 4 years, and unfortunately I've got 9 points , hence I've been getting some pretty godforsaken quotes, the best being £1380 per annum, based on a max of 10k miles. Off the top of your head, do you think that this is ok considering? Do you think I have any chance of getting under that magical boundary of £1000?

The most annoying thing is that I drive so carefully and slower than ever before now I'm on 9 points, but obviously insurers don't see it that way!

Martin,

Cheers for getting me the quote yesterday. I spoke to my old man about what you said about my problem being 0 no claims, and he said that he thinks the company policy changed over a year ago, putting us all on individual policies. My mum is going to investigate on monday, but with any luck, i should be able to prove that I've got 12 months no claims.

I'll be in touch, thanks again
