Well here it is -

Plugged select in after and wow!! Traction/wheel spin 2nd on sunny dry roads,

Very happy,

What is this part then... I can see on the box it says 'valve'... Is this a DV

Like some of the others I feel my isn't performing the way it should and the average MPG (2 on the info / diplay just seems to be going lower and lower.
For the fist 2 years the display was always around 25ish MPG, but now it's about 21 / 22 ish and I feel that the power isn't there...
HELP....

Not heard of any ED30 ones failing yet, could be down to the fact its not mounted directly on the turbo in the 'hot zone'

my piping split on my dv and was looing 8psi boost and only ran 200 bhp. my mpg had gone down to 20. went to awesome and re-mounted the solenoid and changed the pipes and the power was there instantly.

anybody who is worrying about this should get it checked,

i had mine checked by VW and they said it was fine, 2 weeks later i had it checked at awesome and the mechanic couldnt believe that the VW garage could have missed this.

Is a split DV always (or usually) visible through VAG-COM fault messages?

My car was in for service at the dealership, they left a copy of the diagnostics test. Apart from some faults relating to swapping over the RCD300 to the MFD2 ans subsequently RNS510, there were no faults reported.
This was diagnostics done with the dealer VAS system, not VAG-COM of course.

Im not sure if always comes up on vagcom,

My car was at VW 6 days before and they said no faults hmm,

At Revo the fault came up and we went for a drive with vagcom hooked up and
he could tell the car was not holding boost.

I was so happy to find the rip in DV, the car was instantly better even before putting the select in.

I think give away signs are hearing the boost leaking,\i have also noticed since i can hear the
DV noise as you come off power,

Hope this helps
