GolfGTI stickers
« on: 22 April 2008, 18:39 »
Got my stickers today, but wanna know if there's a trick to putting them on, or is it simply a sticker that slaps onto the glass?

Also, some may know I got a quote for aftermarket alloys on my car and I can't be arsed with paying an extra £200 odd just to have alloys on, so if I were to get some alloys like BBSs or VW own, and use VW centre caps...think I could get away with that? LOL!

there's loads of places to buy VW like wheels (copies or RS6 etc) i brought my VW cntre caps from ebay and stuck them on.

the window stickers take patience, if your unsure exactly where u want them spray the window with a little water first, that way u can slide it into place, them u can carefully remove backing.

you could buy ANY wheels that VW sold at the same time as your vehicle and stick them on, as it would technically not be a modification by yourselves it would have been a factory fitted option.... get it?  lol

Got the stickers on now, looks sweet...I'm now part of a club lol! I dunno why but it's cool when you walk past cars and they have stickers of forums they goto or what not, shows that you're that bit more into cars lol!

As for the wheels, I wouldn't know where to start with the wheels, or where...that's the problem, but I defo want to get the wheels that look like VW or similar so they can't f**k me over on insurance, I'll just put some same brand ones on and say they were there already (like it's been suggested).

Don't think I'm gonna be able to get the car lowered however until next year, so what would be my best option? 15s with low profile tires or 17s?

I have sixteens and i think their great, the only problem you'll have is finding 4 stud VW wheels that'll look good on a mk3, your best bet if you can find them is to get the split rim alloys of a polo gti, they were sixteen and look like the anni wheels. I eventually gave up and got some proton gti alloys on mine, cos they were cheap i just dont care!!!
