why is my 2.0ltr gti 8v so slow??

hey up new to this forum but i have just bought a new toy its a 2.0ltr gti 8v and it is slow!!! i currently own a t4 and that will nob this gti surely this isnt right!! even my mates 1.4 beats it  :angry: i have replaced the cam belt on it and serviced it cleaned the air mass sensor! would the cat be bloked up or is there a common pro with them?? thanks

Urmm where to start....is the timing all set up correctly..? does it rev past 5000rpm..?

to be honest, i have a 2 litre gti, there is noting mechanically wrong with it, and if u get a sh!t pull away, it wont beat much, its a wank car but stil has a gti badge......

yea we all say this but to be fair.. who cares.. coz we drive a "Golf GTI" I mean.. the name says it all. any power you happen to get is a bonus 

I prefer to be seen in my Golf 115BHP than i do in my 480BHP Celica GT-Four.. As much as i love it.. its all jap crap realy :D  Nothing compared to oldskool classic GTI's  :grin: :laugh: :grin:

Indeed, i drive it becuase i like it..... Not becuase of its power. If i wanted 0-60 i can get a car for less insurance that does more! lol. And is made by ford. lol

Its an 8v and they only have 115bhp dont they?

As said above should have got a 16v, mine goes really well with a full exhaust.
