Nice car Marc, just make sure you don't use the selling dealer for service, the Otford branch is 10 times better

Hi Marc
A couple of points if thats ok?

Do you have the RCD 300, if so what do you think of the sound? Do you have any upgrades planned as I'm after an upgrade myself but unsure which way to go.

Remap planned? i'm thinking of a BlueFin.

PS Cruise control, I had mine retrofitted for around £150, essential if you are going to do long distance/touring.

(I have the part number of the CC stalk if you fancy giving it a go yourself, £45 ish)

Marc, ive always used peter coopers at hedge end, very friendly sales staff, (although ive bought  2 GTi's and a Passat). Service department seem ok, but not had much dealing with them yet.
Although my GTi is going in for some warranty work , and hopefully will be using their Black ed30 whilst mines in for the day !

Hi

Lovely looking motor
I would recommend changing the rear lights for the darker R32 ones (around £170 from Dealers) and i would get the plastic bumpers colourcoded (around £400-500). Colourcoding really makes a difference!

Also, as its a new car and teh weather seems to be ok (well atleast up in North) you should wax it to protect the paintwork. I would also apply 2 layers of wax to those Monza's as that will prolong the dreaded "worms"

Fully agree.

Maxamus do you have any pics comparing standard plastic to colourcoded to help persuade the missus?

yes i have the RCD 300, as for the sound its ok nothing special , the m3 sound system was crap had a sub in the boot of that, but will probably stick to what I've got , i will upgrade to sat nav mfd2 for £500, (can not justify spending over £1k on the latest one) weather that will improve the sound . Had cruise control on the m3 and nether used it ,each to there own i suppose . i am going to let the car do a couple of thousand miles to loosen up then will have remap done either bluefin or will try and find a local tuner that wil do a well known brand. might add the r32 rear lights , tint the rear windows & maybe  drop it slightly

Had it diamondbrite protected at dealers , rip off really at £200 but will wax it as well if the weekend is dry
