lowering help

Hi everyone, just after some good advice as im a complete notive when it comes to lowering cars 

i just got some ronal alloys and i thought the car is sitting high with them on even though they are 15". So i think the best thing to do is to lower it and hopefully that will improve handling aswell.

I was just going to get some springs but then discovered that i really need new gas shocks to really see an improvement.

Just wanted to know how much you guys lowered yours as i know you can do 60/40 , 40/40 and 60/60.  i was going to get 40mm springs but this doesn't sound a huge amount to lower it by?? or maybe thats fine?

Any pics of anyone who has lowered theirs would be great and how much by.

Also if anyone has suggestions of good makes of springs and shock absorbers would be really helpful.

check my guide....it shows mine standard and -40mm.. and even at this the front sits a little too high. hence i've got coilovers to be fitted so i can set the car how I want... £150 for coilover's as long as ride comfort is not an issue as they are fairly stiff!!

I got the 150 quid coilovers, it's great, I wasn't technical at all, i just set them up to a height that looks good and then made sure it was equal both sides, n just got on with it really!!!

Yea go for coilovers, you will get the height you want then.

your right 40mm with 15s wouldnt look like its been lowered really..........

Ive got a Bilstein kit on mine when i bought it, looks lower at the front than the back so its probably 60/40, looks like it could be a little lower at the back but hey it looks ok and handles great

thanks for the help, i think the best bet will be coilovers as i can adjust the height to what i want. Il let you know how it all goes!

I cant seem them being brand new at 150......

i think he might have got the hottuning coilovers u can get em from ebay for 200 quid but theres a group buy on here and u can get em for 150!

It was on the group buy jobby, hot tuning, their great, went to heathrow and back yesterday and it was fine, not the most amazing suspension but certainly not the worst!!! well recommended
