When i started the restoration i wanted to do it how Ford 'should' of done it back in the 80's..... Standard looking but with something spicey underneath.

Shes running a mildly tuned 1.6 cvh S1 Rs Turbo lump, currently at 193bhp and around 205lbft torque 

Its not about the power its about the car and the looks she gets and the memories she stirs up in people..... 23 years old this year

IIRC Jeza (Robs bro) still has his Golf!

He's not Robs bro but yeah does still have the golf and he's spent god knows how much tuning the 8v engine to 16v power 

So are you planning a similar attack on the golf as you did the cabbie

Oh right..... all those years of thinking he was..... 

Erm.... no lol... Just a bit of a sleeper, i'm aiming on getting a 1.8T 180bhp so that should be ok for 5 minutes, then i may start to have a fiddle but nothing compared to the cabbie + she's locked away while the weather is pants.

So you still live around this way then?  See anything of Rob or Jeramy?

Been there, done that, know a couple of others too so between us we could probably write a book 

Not seen him for about 3-4 years now, last I saw him he was fresh out of hospital (3rd time i think) with god knows how many bottles of pills    I hope he's doing ok  :smile:
