erm takes some effort and time but found black shoe polish works really well, got it as a tip from an old golf mag and been using it ever since, lasts for a good 6 or seven washes

do not buy the bumper paint from halfords etc it comes off in flakes and looks horrible.

oil is good but you have to buff it like a bastard to stop dust sticking to it

I use some bumper stuff that's made by Wonderwheels, called back to black I think.  It's a white liquid that you just sponge on, and then buff up in a few minutes.  It's magic stuff and lasts ages between washes...only problem is that I haven't seen it on any shelves for sale in quite some time.  Halfords used to sell it, but no longer do.  If anyone knows where to buy it do let me know, I've only enough left for another year probably!

hi all ,

I'd agree BACK TO BLACK is the bizz!

i have tryed using oil and other branded types but nothing leaves the bumper like back to black! and to make things even better my local filling station stocks it but i dont think its made by wonderwheels tomorrow!

Find black to black and give it a try just to see for yourself!!!

I agree with using Tutle Wax Extreme bumper + trim shine. Its easy to apply like armour all and not as messy as autoglym. Back to Black I have not tried as its a spray can and didn't want crap all over the paintwork of my white mk3.
Have not tried shoe shine wax although it may well work with a bit of elbow grease.

Now found the wonderwheels back to black stuff for sale via demon tweeks - see http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/catalogue/product_detail.asp?PCODE=WONWTT1000&GRP=MP122&PGRP=M010&CLS=MSPORT&code=WONWTT500&from=search  This stuff you just sponge on, no mess, no fuss, and just keeps on shining.
