INTERNET brokers
« on: 20 April 2008, 20:13 »
hello

found this site about a month ago , only registered yesterday. been doing me homework on Mk 5 before i outlay my cash on a new factory order or nearly new ed 30.
a must on my list are rear curtain air bags, front arm rests, lux pack, rear tints, hi line (ed 30) , haven't been able to find the spec car i wont so I'm 70% leaning towards a factory order of the GTI.( +18 in monza II )

has any one used brokers for a new GTI, Ive been looking on carpricechecker and there seams to be some good savings, but not sure about going through a third party, tiz it safe.

You need to understand how they work some are imports, some work as introducers to dealers willing to provide discounts others like the one I am using are biz fleet purchasers so have better discounts available which they use for personal orders.
Anything where you are going through UK dealers will be the safest way to go - be warned their are good and bad companies.
SE30 - Build week 18 should have it early June

After my local dealer was not prepared to offer any meaningful reduction from the list price I used Orange Wheels (http://www.orangewheels.co.uk/) back in January. They introduced me to an official VW Dealer who phoned me up and offered £1803 off list for a GTI plus options shopping list totalling £26,805. Collecting it next Tuesday

I've used Lloyds TSB CarSelect - they sourced a UK car for me, not the quickest or cheapest but they were very good at keeping me informed.

Not sure if you have to be a Lloyds customer to use them though

I was going to buy mine through www.broadspeed.com but after registering my details they didn't contact me as promised and after me phoning them 4 times and getting nowhere I went back to the dealers and bought from them.
