Induction Kits- Worth it??
« on: 19 April 2004, 14:58 »
Hi,
This might have been asked before but is it worth me fitting an induction kit to my 8v digi?

Or should i go for the K&N panel filter and a drilled air box?  ???

What sort of improvement have people had with either?

Cheers
Dave

Hello there ...

Well there's always been alot of debates about this one - if your looking for a wicked induction roar then go for the 57i kit or similar. In ideal conditions they do give the biggest increase in power, but you'll not always have ideal conditions as it can easily suck in hot air from your engine and not make any difference. unless you can shield it that is ...

The safe bet is the panel filter with the resonator pipe removed - u'll not get the same noise but have less of a risk of hot air contamination. In ideal conditions compaired to the 57i it won't produce the same BHP increase.

I've got a slightly used 57i kit going cheap if you're interested ??? Check out the 'For Sale' area ....
