where do u plug a vag com in. av all mk3 gti's got them as i cant find a plug on mine. mine is a (l reg 94) .any help thanks?

If it is the same as my '96 you need to take the ashtray out then there is a blank cap to the left of the ash tray which slides out (intot the gap left by the ashtray then out completely) the plug is behind that, there is a picture on one of the threads on here but I can't remember which one off the top of my head!

Pre 1996 golfs have OBD1 connections in the passenger footwell, should be two round plugd. Post 1996 has an OBDII port behind the dash blank next to the ashtray

cant find it dont look like she's got one .o well looks like im .uck. is this main stealer o can any one else do it without the plug.as main stealers cost min of £80 bucks as i think thats a bit steap to find the problem thats without the cost of fixing it .

Aplogies, should find two plugs, one white and one black, each have 2 wires going to them. Take out the blanking plate where your heated rear screen switch is. It should be clipped to a rail behind there somewhere
