Non-Res Milltek
« on: 18 April 2008, 18:21 »
Well guys just got back from Awesome after having my turbo-back non-res Milltek. WOW!!!!! The car sounds absolutely unbelievable. The change in performance is noticeable the car pulls a lot harder and seems to be a lot more responsive and that is without a remap which im having next week  300+ bhp here we come!! I was a bit hesitant at first about getting non-res but I definately made the right choice, it is not boy racer whatsoever!!! It is completely civilised when driving normally but when you floor it all hell breaks loose  I have not been able to stop going under bridges and flooring it  As you can probably tell im quite excited about it and cant wait to have the remap, the car will be an absolute animal

Nice one mate, I can imagine what it sounds like now but not when remapped!  My sounds so different when I turn off the remap and floor it, like someone took half the noise away - not that I have it switched off that much

Never heard the Non-res full Milltek at full chat in the flesh. I must agree with the animal power thing

Ask for a full before and after rolling road included in the price. You'll then know how much the Milltek has put on and the remap :nerd:

....Then, next time we meet I should take you for a ride in my Non-Res Hi-flow (Turbo-back) Milltek.

They are very civilised at lower revs but come to life when the engine is working harder .

It takes a good 1,000 miles for a Milltek to mature.

It is slightly droney at the minute but not really noticeable. As RR said as time goes on it should quiet down

....Yep, I found that she 'droned' on M'ways at about 3,200 revs for a few hundred miles and then 'settled' and has just got better and better - Not louder but she seems slightly deeper. Every time I ride in a V6 or V8 I expect to be deeply disappointed when back in mine, but I never am! I'm not saying she sounds better than a V6/V8 but only that she's perfect for a 4-pot - Not at all loud in town but tastefully loud enough in full song.

I don't care what I drive - I always want to hear the engine and what's going on - I hate quiet marshmallows!!!!
