Hi!
There is a lot of extra torque on offer from this celtic tuning remap, We have found around 1 in 5 remapped Mk4 TDIs will suffer from clutch slip in 4th gear under high load with a hign torque rmap.
If you do get slip this means the clutch would of not lasted too much longer on a standard map. If your worried about your clutch I would get a new one fitted before the remap to save any problems. Or you can ask the tuning companie to limit the amount 0f toqure the remap offers. 228lbft to 310lbft is a very big step up. If you ask for around 280lbft for a start than see if they will upgrade the remap once you have a new clutch fitted at a later date.
Apart from the clutch the engine and the rest of the drive train should fine with 185bhp and 310Lbft. make sure you service the engine well using good oil, allow the engine to get upto working temp before driving it hard and when turning the engine off allow 30 seconds for the turbo to cool and stop spooling.
I have passed a few jobs on to Celtic tuning because my customers where down in Devon I could not get to them and offer a good price due to time and distance, But Celitc took the work on and gave a very good price and service the customer where over the moon.
