Me personally i dont like the R Line...i find it abit unfair that iv spend £30k on an R32 and then some other kid can spend £16k on a 1.6golf have it look exactly the same like mine....not cool VW...

Its always been something that bugged me when i saw every AUDI S-Lined to high heaven! However, vw aren't exactly the first to start doing this... BMW do it with M stuff, Merc with AMG, Mini with WORKS, Vauxhall with VXR kit etc

Fair play though as if you want that personal touch from factory build etc then why the hell not?
It always ends up with someone turning their car into something it isn't, i.e. as said above, immitating the looks of the r32...

C'est la vie ;)

Ah looks isn't everything. You'll still have the satisfaction of knowing that your R32 is the real deal and not some fake. I so wanted an R32 but just couldn't swing it with Mrs Bobo.

To be fair Sweeney and Bobo have a point but just not something i like...im sure they could have had a few little things abit more exclusive on the R32...im sure with the S Line, VXR, AMG, M Series, etc they must have parts which are unique well for e.g. the S3 has a bit of a different grill at the front and seems to have wider arches where as the R line for the VW Golf comes with Omanyts (same alloys as the R32) and a load of other stuff...but yeah i guess im the one with the more potential engine :P (Not sure if i have made any sense above or not)

I have the VW Racing R official logo on my OEM body kit, correct me if iam wrong but this is the original use of the 'R' logo but was later adopted as the title for the MK4 R32?
R-line parts have been on the go since then.I adopted the mk5 Gti pedals into my MK2 Leon FR but wasn't trying to be like a gti lol, it just looked good.but i see your point about R32 kit on 1.4 golf but thats still modding imo.
