Keep my bottle in the offside boot cubby pocket and it doesn't fall over or leak. Couple of plastic bags (always handy) and it's rock solid.

I know Skoda offer them included with the 1L oil cans at the moment so VW may well be the same.

Funny how VW are meant to recommend Castrol, theres a sticker on the door shut of my car recommending Castrol, but when I asked the dealer (cars 1 month old from this dealership) to top up and supply me with spare oil ready for a long trip in Europe, I was supplied with Mobil Synt S 5W-40 ?
Does this sound ok?

As long as it meets the req'd specs its fine. VW just have a marketing thing set up with castrol (they dont use it at the factory, your cars are factory filled with Fuchs oil so I understand. We have just changed over all out Castrol stuff to Shell at work as they can do better prices and we dont have to wait two weeks for our bulk oil (2000 litres a time).
MK2 Golf GTi (Built with bits from MK2, MK3, Mk4, Corrado, Ibiza Cupra and Audi TT, a truly VAG car indeed.
