We really enjoyed the day today albeit cut short due the showers. Was good to meet a few faces off here, Hurdy & Phil McCavity, wasnt brave enough to knock on anyones window and intro myself, no-one would know who I was anyway as im a newbie!

Nice to see you on the day Mark

Phil spotted your GTI front lip from 100 yards away

Remember, if you don't go up and talk to people, you could end up missing out on something  and I don't like missing out

Thanks John,
I know it was dry when you did that run - how do you feel about the time when compared to the time you ran last year as stock? Let me know if you want a copy of that footage. Was filmed in hD so YouTube does not give it justice.

Nice to see some of the motors off here in the end..  Especially Hurdy's tattoo'd beast..  Do like that Miltek, tailpipes looked proper .
I didn't really get much chance to speak with any of you chaps. As everytime I walked past the cars, noone was there.. Did introduce myself to Hurdy very briefly while he was demonstrating his ICE.. . But i'm sure they'll be plenty of other meets...
As for the actual show itself...  Didn't think it was a great turn out on the whole to be honest (going on past shows)...  (apart from the you boys of course)..
Hardly any Audi's ( S3's etc ) Leon Cupra's, just not many of the new hot hatch brigade at all apart from the Mk5's..  Rest was just the usual swarm of Mk1 and Mk2 Golfs...
Then on top of that, Santa Pod's usual sh!te organisation skills took affect and took hours to get the strip back up and running after a down pour, only to interupt the running after 5 mins of them starting again to run the FOOKING Jet Car down. Then sure enough it started raining again, that's when I did one... Just feel really sorry for the poor chaps who were running.. Soooo glad I wasn't..
I just think they need to throw some money at the place to be honest. As the prices have gone up a good 20-30% in the past year or so, but yet the facilities are gettin worse IMO..

Suppose, but the last few i've been to have had a lot better VAG turn out.. Just thought it was a little quiet this year.. Probably down to the unsettled weather scaring people off..

Probably needs changing to VAG Spring Festival to attract a wider audience :undecided:

Yeah, saw you Vtec abuser and I thought that you'd still be by the stand when I got out, but you'd gone. I was gonna introduce you to some more of the regulars. Never mind, there's always the GTI International later this year.
