Howdo all, not sure if you're fed up with greeting new gti owners by now but I thought I'd jump in and officially say hello as I've just picked up an ed30 (i did post a while back about imports). Tis a silver beauty of a car and I've already had a few mercs try their luck as well as a few rusty tin cans. Filled up with V-Power and apparently my display shows I can get 400 miles out of the tank which I find a tad optimistic especially as its still running in(already done just over 200 on half).
Hopefully as I get a bit more experience of the car I can give some good opinions and get involved with the odd debate. May consider the odd track day in the future as I have some mates who track day occasionally.... castlecombe and the like.

Welcome and nice choice of car. Plenty of info/banter here and always good to hear the opinions of a new owner.

Hi Trint
Good choice on the ED30, I cant help feeling that my standard GTI could do with those extra horses! Welcome here, there is a lot of info you will find interesting and useful.
A pic of the car would be good!

I'll try and get some pictures up but they'll be from a old brick of a camera phone.
Wish I plumped for some sat nav from the off (already eyeing up the rns 510) as I've already been lost around birmingham when picking the car up!, shouldn't of relied on following a mate with sat nav as I lost him on the first roundabout. Still, was a mighty fine trip back home thats all I can say
