are my Parking sensors Retrofitted?

Hi all, how can I tell if my Parking sensors were retrofitted?

Is there a difference in the beep, the operation, the look from the factory fitted options?

Maybe some pics would help? but cant just now.

mine are factory fit, check the position of the actual sensors to see if yours are in a different position to mine.

Mine are also factory fit and seem to be in the same place too

Yep the "look" the same at least.. i get a rather tuneless beep when I engage reverse...not like the crisp BING you get when you dont buckle up. I think i need to stick on some multimedia links to see how it compares with factory build cars.

i really wanted parking sensors on mine but it would have held the car buying up for me, is there a way of getting the factory look at a reasonable cost, or even having hidden sensors ?

Its impossible to tell, the kit for both factory order and dealer fit is the same.


As for the sensors being in the same place, on the inside of the bumper there are marks like little x where they go.

odd, my dealer told me they would be different and advised against it ?
