i fitted just Eibach sportlines last month
have been pleasantly surprised how good the ride has remained
the standard shocks are made by sachs so i thought they were worth taking a chance on with low milage car
i had coilovers on my MK4 and really you can only adjust them until you are happy with the ride height and then you'll be luckiy to get them to adjust again after any legnth of time
i honestly wouldn't go back to coilovers again after fitting the eibach springs, for me a perfect compromise between looks and ride quality
here's 2 after pics and 1 before

Hi all.... this is to be my next mod, I've been offered some Eibachs Coilovers from a (manual) GTi, used for 9000 miles for not much more than the price of springs only. I've been in touch with Eibach to see if they will fit on my DSG GTI as the two show as different part numbers. If not it will be either H&R's or the Eibach springs for me. Waiting on some pictures of a GTI just lowered on Eibach Pro-Kit springs to see what the height is like, but I must say I do like the H&R's on the white GTI. Might get the H&R's ARB's to go with it at the same time.....
I'm not rushing into yet, trying to get as much infor as possible, don't want to cock things up....

19's but you get the idea as there about the same height as the Monza's, H&R and FSD's

Anyone got single way adjustable dampers? Would be nice to have a bit of adjustability in the bump/rebound settings.

Hi all... So what order and what drop (mm) would you put these three sets of springs. This is what I'm lead to believe from what I've read.
Eibach Pro-Kit 10-15mm Drop F/R,  Eibach  Sportlines 20-25mm F/R, H&R's 30mm Drop F/R

That sounds about right to me mate.

Brian G that Tornado Red looks great, and that drop make the car look a lot better.

A few questions for you if possible,

How does the ride compare to standard, is it better when driving normally, or is it a boneshaker?
Are your wheels 18" or 19"?
If you fitted them yourself, was it striaghtforward, and did you have to use any special tools?

I'd also have to make sure my warranty was intact, if so i think that would be my next purchase!
