I thought they closed the order books on the ED30 last week??

Why not buy a 1 year old one?  Save yourself £1000's.

If it has been made it would still be available on the computer system .... apparently.

As to the price - I managed to get my 3dr DSG ordered for £22,800 which was £200 cheaper than I had seen one of the same spec secondhand - one year old with 12K on it.

I don't normally like buying new cars but it seemed there was no much to be had price wise for a secondhand one  , or, in my case £200 the other way !

Spot on - the car was already built but unallocated, hence restricted choice of spec. The only Edition 30's which are left are those still in the system which are on their way to dealers as part of a pre-spec'd build, or unallocated cars. There's not too many left now according to my dealer.

Likewise for the price - got a good deal so not worthwhile for the small saving to be made for a 6/12 month old used car - and I've almost always bought used before. And once I decided it was White I wanted, that made it even less likely finding one used in the timescales I was working to.

Thanks - I've only seen two so far. One black and one red so pleased it's going to be reasonably rare around my neck of the woods at the moment!

Congrats mate and welcome! The wait is a killer, but at least its built already, so your only looking at weeks rather than months... still be painful     What extra toys you getting on it out of interest?
