Newbie Looking to enter Golf GTI championship
« on: 07 April 2008, 18:07 »
Hi All,

Been looking at getting a track car for a while now.

In the end decided on a golf GTI mrk2.

Then I found out about the racing series and

Here I am. Been a jap car fan for a while so limitted knowledge in the golf department so no doubt i'll be bugging you all with some silly questions later on.  :embarassed:

Not got a car yet but I'm constantly checking autotrader and all the forums. I'm in the south so if anybody knows of anything then give me a shout!

Thanks
Paul

Welcome

Spoke to the guys on the MKII championship stand at Autosport International and you'll have a riot doing the car up with the control parts they sell to you at knockdown prices.

The 16v would be far better for track day use. It gives you the power you need at higher speeds and higher revs.
