Almost a week of ownership and.....
« on: 07 April 2008, 11:55 »
People have already started nicking bits of my car! Its parked in a multi story parking and im paying £100 a month to have my own parking plot but still managed to get taken off! Glad the car doesnt have any scratches or anything...

Even though its missing its a bit disturbing, paid 30 euros to get a new front and rear badge but i must say i do like it

Robbing Bast****!!! I suppose it could have been worse, only cheap to replace. What you thinking of the car Manu, you managed to give it a good ragging yet?

Indeed i have...over this weekend took it so spain to get plenty of km's into the car and the car now has 957 km's on the clock. As soon as i got into gib i had this GTI behind me flashing his hazards and flashing me to race...so i did and must say i had the biggest smile on my face

There is this Straight which then leads to a sort of twist and then another long straight...normally in the GTI i would need to brake quite a bit before entering this turn...in the R32 i didnt bother just kept accelerating, a slight drift and boom back on the straight...was very very impressed....dont think the GTI was too happy about it though!

Again this was with a normal GTI and not an ED30...

To add to this...whilst i was in Spain...i had people flash me, wave at me, give me thumbs up...down at Puerto Banus where you would normally see Expensive cars such as Mercs, Lambos, Ferraris, Porsches, etc i had a guy take a pic of my car, also had a guy on a moped run a red light to stop his bike and give me a thumbs up lol....the attention this car gets is abit too much...

If there was....the amount people i can think off that wouldnt have hands would be quite funny....about 30 people would have their hands chopped of cause of me....maybe the same person two or three times if possible...its quite a shame to see what jealousy can do to some people....

Wouldnt that involve more work on putting another badge back?? I was hoping it was more of a lego sort of thing where you could just stick it back on

From your point if view Manu it should just click back into place. What I was hoping is that when they removed it the badge itself snapped  Karma I do beleive

To get the badge off the GTI you need to remove the front grille (then it's still a B*tch of a job!)
