how do u remove the chrome strips/trim around the middle of the car as i need to take of 1 and put on another

They should prise off (gently obviously) as they clip onto a plastic rivet that sticks into a hole on the body work.
......now officially dubless.

No problem. :afro: I never had the crome ones on my old cab, but the plastic ones could come off and be put on easy enough. You're talking about the trim that goes on the the door, wings and rear quarter aren't you ?

fella i took mine of no problem! only think is you will need to buy the new clips!?! well that what i did as mine was knida of fecked! there like 3 quid on ebay!

so have you decided which one your gonna use? black one or the blue?

well i took black 1 in for pre mot it would have failed on a bit of rust on the front cross member a dogdy back brack and a few bulbs here and there so all in all not bad?
But i picked up a sweet 1.8 carbed engine and box out of a mk2 for 30 quid so thats goin in the blue 1 and goin to strip black 1 for the roof trims ect ect and sell the rest
the blue 1 dont seem to have a bit of rust on it so seems best idea
what u think

yeah to be truthful fella im thinking the blue one the best bet if the body is better! and you have ready made parts in the black one! so i think your on a keeper with the blue one plus the paint looks fairly good!

so when you gonna put the engine in the blue one and get it motd?

the blu is goin to have full respray anyway as for engine i need to find a drivers side engin mount plate the 1 that goes to drivers iner arch and then all the rubber mounts for else were

also i need a carb mountin plate nothing major i know it just finding these parts lol
i need to spray the engine bay as well as its black at the mo
its all time and money and of coure the great british weather lol
