I was over in germany too the  other day and managed to get my mk 16valver up to 132 and a bit with another mk2 valver not so far behind me.  Looked at bit like my twin actually but single headlight convert.  I reckon she still had a litlle more in her but that was getting near maxed out id say.  The valver behind me got a bit of a shock me thinks!  Things get too hairy at that speed though and every slight bump makes your heart pound.

yup, took my 16v to germany a few weeks ago and was pulling through 130 quite easily. (and i remembered to turn on the GPS for once!). i only started pulling up due to traffic. as for bumps - totally smooth ;)

plus i had a major conscience about returning with a broken engine. errm, still meant to be runnin it in. ahem.

dont know where i would of landed as the car was still pulling and still had 600-800 rpm to roll before fun rev limiter time.

Ha, smoked some suited fool in a Z3 on an island! Must have been a 1.8 or 2.0 or whatever they do, think anything bigger would have blown my doors off!

Very satisfying though, he was not happy at all ;)
