im getting a new golf. advice?

yo whats up. ive recently seen a mint as 16v on trademe.. its $3000 (1185 pounds). heres what the guy says about it. ITs done 200,000km.

NZ New mkII Gti 16Valve

Done higher kms but doesnt affect performance of the engine (RK) 136hp no noises no smoke goes very well. allways run on 98 octane fuel and fully syntetic oil. No rust. Tidy interior. Brand new radiator $400.
Upgraded front brakes came of corrado plus slotted discs. Konis at the front and biltseins at the rear.

i would have to say thats the complete opposite of my one..

good deal? what are fairly good condition gti's like this going for in england?

If i buy it this will be my 3rd car.. my parents wont be very happy HAHAHA.

I doubt anybody will be able to advise you about the car without more details and pictures, but from what you've said that sounds like a good deal. In England, GTI's with good bodywork, good interiors and strong engine tend to go around £2,000, with that price rapidly going down if there are rust spots, smokey engine etc. etc. (obviously there are bargains to be had out there as well!)
