coloured golf

can any1 tell me if my golf has been sprayed a standard vw golf black (gloss not metalic) as my car started its life a graphit gray and one of the last owners sprayed it black, i have a "paint code" written on a bit of scrap papper with my paper work, but iv asked a sprayer and he said the number is to long for a paint code number.

the reason i ask is i need the back end re sprayed so i could do with finding out if they done a mk2 golf in a gloss jet black

Welcome to my boat.....my car has been resprayed too, but in metallic black - and I have no idea of the paint code, flipping PITA, can't get anything resprayed!

lol i would but erm no, i want it shorted for a show im going to in a months time so it needs to look good, the old man said he will do it for he, hes got some black gloss in the garage lol

and some ppl are prats, if your gonna re-spray a car, at least keep the bloody paint code so if you ever need to touch it up or if you sell it the new owner knows the paint code to do touch ups themselfs

On TV theres a dulux advert where if you take something into B&Q they'll mix some emulsion to match. Why not whip the bonnet off and take it in to get some mixed up? I reccommend "soft sheen".

halfrauds say they do that, but they lie as you have to take them a paint code and they mix it for you, what they also dont tell you is when they mix it, if its the wrong colour they still claim you have to buy the paint

go to a proper car paint place, with your petrol flap and get a match. thats what we did

isnt there a sticker saying the paint name and number on a panel? i think its in the rear panels somewhere

its been resprayed with non-genuine paint
