change the bearings i did mine on saturday but i found out the fronts need doin aswell

Simple test jack up both wheels from behind axa stands then release hand break, then spin tyre and listen for scrapping noise. Play is more related to joints and suspension issues.
They can be hard to get off the shell though and pressing in new bearings!

Cheers clipperjay, I'll give that a go Saturday when I can grab my neighbours trolley jack (it's so much easier than the VW jack you get with the car), I'm pretty certain that it's the bearings so still have the car booked in for next Wednesday to do the bearings and tracking. Gonna cost about £110 for the rear bearings and tracking...

I defo need to do more mileage for the company, only £30 in expenses this month compared to £190 last month  :sad:

So no driving the car from now on until it's done, which means getting a lift in a Fiesta ST  :embarassed:
