gt tdi question

i went to view a Gt Tdi near where i live, however when i got there i suspected something was up, the interior looked very standard, no recaros and it just didnt look like a Gti in diesel spec, oh it had the badge, but the owner was sure it was a Gt tdi, not a tdi!

what do you think?

the only way you'll be able to tell is from the engine sticker, i'm not 100% sure on what the interior was like on the GT TDI 115 but the 150 is exactly the same as the 1.8T so wood trim, recaros (or own brand recaros (depending on year)) wood trim, leather steering wheel, leather stick gaitor, colour coded rubbing strips etc

On a 110 upwards you'll have the 3 spoke steering wheel and sports saeats.

Mines a 110 (99) and it has Blue sports seats (VW).


Also the GT TDi's have colour coded bumper strips.

i have the 115

says on the spare wheel well sticker 'highline', that standard for a gt tdi?

plus its registered as a gti tdi? what's the difference?
some say the gti tdi doesn't exist but its listed on parkers and insurance lists etc..

what reg was it on??

from 51plate onwards GT TDI's were fitted with VW's 'sports seats' as a way of cost cutting.

Boot sticker should say highline; as Ridge says; only 150 had wood trim and you'll only find them from 02 plates on i believe.
