Yes electronic ignition
The fuel pump relay is sh1t, (the one with a fuse in it) the fuse box can burn out or the wiring from the fuse box to the pump can go, get them to check that, the wiring colour is red/yellow, if memory serves me correctly (but it may be white and red) any way it comes outa the fuse box and goes through a Y spade terminal.
The relay powers the pump when the ignition is first turned on, then after the cranking it runs the pump.
The pump is located under the car, just in front of the o/s/f wheel, check the connections have not become crappy.
There is no lift pump in the tank for this model.
Make sure the car has not been run low on juice, as the metering head gets the right arse.
Flow check the injectors, get a jam jar, drill a 10mm hole in the lid, lever out 1 injector at a time, put in jam jar, turn on inigition (DO NOT START IT), messure the amount in the jar, repeat for all injectors.
Don't smoke, do it when the engines hot or when you've had a strong curry, keep a fire extinguisher handy, if you burn it, it will suck.
(I have loads of spare bits should you want to borrow/buy them, no metering head, but injectors and injector pipes.)
