Oh no not 2 of us

Personally i think its blocked injectors :(

any way ive purchased a warm up regulator and the garage are fitting it tonight.

i will keep this post up to date, incase anyone else has the same problem.

Does yours do it when cold?

Ok fitted new warm up regulator
Seems a little better

The garage have played about with the metreing unit, when adjusting the problem gets worse,

awaiting for it to be fitted,

I am really stuck on what to do as the garage hasnt got a clue

mine kangarooed when the mixture was far too lean, worth a look. Get some brass injectors off ebay, you can get em for just over £50 a set, usually listed under mercedes, but recently the seller has been advertising em for MK1s as well :)

Hi all

as far as the garage are aware the second hand warm up regulator doesnt work

trying to source a new warm up regulator - does anyone know where i can find one of these?

ok there is no such thing as a new warm up regulator

Im stuck,

any one need any bits off a very tidy mk1 gti (just dont ask for a warm up regulator lol)

well ive tried to get one of those new, but looks like its not possible

Im going to try and get a good un off a mk2 and try that.

The garage have tried everything and are basically telling me to scrap it :(

like most of us ill be gutted if that has to happen

dont give up!  a mk2 8v/16v throttle body is a good upgrade along with the wur as well, some say audi units work too but they're the same size as mk2.  i guess it depends which has the throttle linkage in the best place for the mk1 really!

Ok we have tried 4 different warm up regulators stil the same problem

any one know how to check the pressure on the fuel pump

the car starts fine and once its got a bit warm has an irratic idle

my mechanic is lost and has a headache from it lol

well its been strange not having a car but its nice to b driven around and picked up, walking to work isnt so good

well if there is anyone in bristol who can take a look or anyone that can help let me know :)

ps the rear brake is leaking fluid doh
