Picked up the ed 30 today
« on: 28 March 2008, 18:07 »
Got up today at 5am, didn't need to but couldn't sleep far too excited

Seems to have been the longest 2 weeks ever, (but still managed to forget my camera) had a 200mile drive to the dealer for the edition 30, but the deal was far too good to pass up.  Arrived at the dealer on time, had a scout about for the golf but couldn't see it anywhere??

Crafty buggers had hidden it!!

Well impressed all the paperwork was pretty much done, plus I saved a mint off of list & got a cracking px price, none of my local dealers could come close...  right place right time i guess.

I had a whole list of things to check over, but got there & they all went out the window, all i could do was smile from ear to ear & randomly press buttons

Well impressed, dealer & motor - now going to spend all weekend cleaning & polishing the beast.  Before I left I parked up against my old motor & snapped this one:

your gonna regret not having the xenon option.

But.. you can always buy an aftermarket kit from hids4u and install it then when you drive at night it will be sunlight

I did fancy xenons, along with every other option on the list , trouble was the price was getting a bit daft...plus i took a stock car to save time.

I put aftermarket hids in the leon & they were tops, maybe further down the line...firstly I have a OEM Sat nav to fit, & a osir dead pedal on order, fingers crossed the misus won't notice the difference

Thanks guys...well impressed

Hurdy the drive home was interesting it hammered down most of the way, like magic 2 things coincided nicely 1. misus dozed off for a bit - 2. the skys cleared - so i did manage to have a little fun  I can't get over the exhaust note when pushing a little harder, sounds really sweet...do modern day engines need running in??

Are those wheels tricky to clean or what?  a couple of times I got the hand wedged in the wheel

I picked up an autoglym PDI kit off of fleabay so thats the first job this morning....then off to find a nice county road....

I was looking at Hurdys modding thread....& whilst cleaning the  from the keyboard thought i check out the osir website, & found a dead pedal/footrest to match the ed30 shiney ones....i'll try & find a photo
