Personally I would change both rear wheels bearings!

i'd too do the wheel bearing, although I wouldnt be so sure about it being the front.

I was adiment it was the front when I had a very similar problem, turned out to be the complete opposite! check the sleeves where the bearing sits, if you run your finger around the ring it sits in and feel a slight crease or line it could be the bearing seat and is a dead simple change while doing the bearing itself!

All sorted - 1 hour and £85 later - rear offside bearing replaced and gearbox oil changed as a bit of tlc to the old girl . Brilliant service.

Nice quite drive home - even the gearbox seems a bit quieter until the engine din takes over  :rolleyes:
