Who does short term insurance, ill give my company a bell but it may be more as she's 19 and practically wrote off a brand new fiesta. It's on a mk4 TDI 110.

think you will struggle to get short term insurance for her, most (including us) say you have to be at least 21 for short term and are more wary of claims etc as the premiums are so low they cant afford to take high risk customers.

Thanks Martin.

We're going away in August to Cornwall so wanted to insure her on my car so that we could either of us could drink if we went out. Otherwise it means taking her Fiesta which is smaller and my diesel is probably more economical for the drive down there, not to mention more comfortable.I'm already insured on the Fiesta but don't really want to take it!

Thanks anyway
Tim

funnily enough HIC insured me for 2 weeks (minimum period?) on my GTI whilst i was still running my old rover, they stated it would cost £75 minimum, worked out to be about £83. i was 22 then.

I don't think a semi will give the same results
