That is the question.
I'll be selling the mk2 at the end of the year to buy a mk4, either the PD150 or a 20VT...
I'll be 19 with 3 years NCB and I've been quoted about £1250-£1300 for a year's insurance standard and about £1500 with alloys, lowered and exhaust/induction.
Now I really don't do many miles at all - Maybe.. 6-7k a year? And that would be pushing it.
Is having the petrol 1.8t better than the diesel by a large enough margin (if at all?) to justify the lower MPG?
What are these engines like tunability-wise?
And any other info regarding the differences of these two (I think there's differences other than engine between these two?)
