if a maf got wet (as the little cap off the top is missing) could that be causing my car to "pink" and also cut out. basicly run like sh!t!

I'm pretty sure it is meant to be sealed so chances are yes  :wink:

Could be possible... check your timing first... slacken the nut/nuts on the dizzy and twist it each way until it runs smooth. Mark the position of the dizzy before turning so you can return it back to where it was incase.
