part number help please
« on: 20 March 2008, 19:23 »
im after a manual adjusting clutch cable for my mk2 91 8V Gti

but the silly man at VW says "theres no such thing for that year/model they were only automatically adjusted"

i say " you mean the manual adjusting cable is discontinued?"

VW "no....theres no such thing for that model"

i say "well ive got one"

blah blah this goes on for several minutes resulting in me getting pissed off with the clown on the phone who is obviously thinking about the long weekend.

has anybody or can anybody give me a part number for this clutch cable so i can actually get one as i dont want the auto adjust one as ive heard they are rubbish and id rather swop like for like.

cheers

ETKA says: 192 721 335 H

It doesn't say manual, but the pic looks right...

(I'd have gone GSF myself, but if they're nowhere near that's no good!)

yeah the 91 gti only got self-adjusting ones, just ask for a 1985 MK2 1.6 cable instead, definitly will be a manual one ;)
