Who needs a boot??
« on: 20 March 2008, 16:04 »
If like me you are p1$$ed off with getting your hand dirty opening and closing the boot of your MkV Golf, then i think i have found the solution to our little problem. Simply open the rear passenger side door, push the button to drop the back seat throw you goods into the boot. This will obviously only work if you have invested in a 5dr. For all those with a 3dr simply do the following:

Go get a 5dr  Till then.. wash your hands

Slight Prod on the VW to open and then use the closing handle (the rear light clister) to close...No Problem!

I just find that that makes it slam. So the next time you do it a little slower and then it doesnt close totally. Then you do it all again...

The fibreglass mould is done and cut to size. The MDF front is cut to shape and has now got the extension piece added (acts as a spacer for correct volume). Bought some material and glue today to cover it. Still a bit to do, but it should be finished and fitted for this weekend. I'll do a full write up with pics in my project section when it's finished
