To be honest, It would be best to post up some pictures for the best advice.

There is a sticky at the top about rusting spots.  I presume the scratches will come out with this.

Not so sure about the dent though

Easy way to get most dents sorted...

Nick your Missus' hairdryer & heat the dented area up as warm as you can get it then immediately hit it with compressed air i.e. an 'air duster' from a stationary supplier or similar.

Hold the can upside down when you spray & along with a white residue you should also get a satisfying "pop" as the panel straightens out. You'll have to wipe the residue off but there won't be any damage to the paint or panel!

Cheap as chips & works a treat!

does this only work on big dents were the panel has just pushed in?   i have a small dent/ding on the rear arch from a shopping trolly about the size of a golf ball wich id like rid of, it hasnt cracked the paint , do you think this method will work?

It's defo worth ago! It won't do any damage so got to be worth a try.

Just remember to get the panel as warm as possible & hold the can upside down when you spray!

They're called 'Air dusters'  & you can get them from office stationary suppliers.

Probably work better on bigger dents where the panel has popped but worth ago on anythingas it won't do anymore damage than whats there!
