Quick question - what is the standard security setup on the Golf, is it just an immobiliser or immobiliser and alarm.  If immobiliser only is this just classed as Thatcham Cat 2?  Just prepping answers for upcoming insurance quote trawling  :grin:

Had tracker monitor on previous TT and was wondering if anyone else has bothered with this - I used to pay £100 ish a year "subscription" but felt ripped off - not sure I would want a car retrieving if some scum bag had ragged it to pieces - plus I don't think the insurance quote drops significantly because of it, well not over a £100

Cheers

I thought :

Once = Locked, Alarmed & Deadlock Mechanism activated
Twice = Locked only

(i.e twice de-activates the deadlock mechanism and alarm)

It's not very clear in the manual though .... anyone else know different ?

Is it not Once = Locked, and Deadlocked, Alarm also activated
Twice = Locked and alarm still activated?
